Wa Alaikum Salaam Lawal,Thank you for your comments, and may Allah reawrd you as well.You are absolutely correct that Western customs have tarnished the role of all members of the family from the father down to the children. The kids are made masters and the parents are slaves. The wife is made superior and the husband is made weak. That is why there is such a breakdown in Western society today. Even Christian Americans know there is a problem as they continuously call for a return to family values. Unfortunately, with society the way it is, I believe it is nearly impossible to ever return to traditional family values in this country. And Allah knows best.
